### Key and Important Points from the Mark Scheme:
1. Assessment Components (35 Marks Total) – Candidates are evaluated on:
- Presentation (25 Marks) – Research, analysis, evaluation, and communication.
- Reflective Paper (10 Marks) – Reflection on teamwork, problem identification, and solution development.
2. Presentation Evaluation:
- Issue Definition – Clear differentiation of candidate’s perspective from team or research perspectives.
- Logical Structure – Coherent argumentation with well-supported judgments.
- Conclusion & Solutions – Effectiveness and innovation in proposed solutions.
- Presentation Methods – Creativity and effectiveness in engaging the audience.
3. Reflective Paper Evaluation:
- Self-Evaluation – Critical assessment of own role in teamwork and problem-solving.
- Impact of Perspectives – Reflection on how alternative viewpoints shaped understanding and research direction.
4. Marking Bands:
- Level 5 (9–10 / 21–25 Marks) – Probing evaluation, strong structure, well-supported reasoning, and impactful presentation.
- Level 4 (7–8 / 16–20 Marks) – Effective evaluation with clear argumentation but some missing depth.
- Level 3 (5–6 / 11–15 Marks) – Partial evaluation, some structure but limited depth.
- Level 2 (3–4 / 6–10 Marks) – Basic evaluation, lack of differentiation from team views.
- Level 1 (1–2 / 1–5 Marks) – Minimal reflection, weak argumentation, ineffective presentation.
5. Time and Word Limits:
- Presentation – Must not exceed 8 minutes; content beyond this is not marked.
- Reflective Paper – Limited to 800 words; excess content is disregarded.
6. Holistic Marking Approach – Examiners consider the overall effectiveness of the candidate’s work rather than seeking a perfect match to descriptors.
