1. Starting Point Selection – Choose one theme: Market place, In the garden, Disintegrate, A pile of clothes, or Mechanical.
2. Preparatory Period – Conduct research, develop ideas, and create up to two A2 sheets of supporting studies before the test.
3. Supervised Test – Complete an 8-hour exam over a maximum of three sessions within two weeks, using supporting studies for reference.
4. Artwork Submission – Submit final work along with supporting studies; large or 3D pieces must be photographed and mounted on A2 sheets.
5. Assessment Criteria – Evaluated on idea development, exploration of materials and techniques, critical understanding, and personal response.
6. Work Documentation – Clearly label all submitted pieces with name, candidate number, centre number, and chosen starting point.
