1. Section A: Reading comprehension (30 marks), includes multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions about Arab cultural topics—dabke dance, basil herb uses, literacy, traditional Algerian crafts, vocabulary matching, and comprehension.
2. Section B: Grammar and language usage (20 marks), sentence transformation using given prompts, grammar cloze with contextual word choices, diacritic application, and grammatical case identification in water sports passage.
3. Section C: Writing task (30 marks), email format (240–280 words) in response to a volunteer teacher opportunity ad, discussing motivation, qualifications, expected challenges, and coping strategies.
4. Key language skills tested: sentence structuring, morphological manipulation, use of tashkeel, syntactic coherence, stylistic fluency in formal Arabic, application of grammar rules in context.
5. Thematic content: Arab folklore and identity, natural remedies, educational equity, cultural preservation, water sports activities, volunteering spirit in Arab societies.
6. Paper structure: total = 80 marks; 2 hours 30 minutes; emphasis on comprehension, grammar mastery, and coherent formal writing in Modern Standard Arabic.
